The Natural History Museum:
For all this is not an art gallery, it is a good place to get inspiration from, I was only able to visit virtually this year, but I had been the year before, and found it very interesting.
The exhibitions I took screen grabs of were the ones I thought fit well with my current project. Most of the screen grabs are of skeletons or taxidermied birds, these fit with not only my theme for this project but many of my artists I have done research for.
In this screen grab I thought it was fitting to my project, as I looked at the placement of this piece. If the end of year show wasn't going to be pictured in my kitchen and at the University instead, I would have liked to recreate a museum shot like this, for my final piece. With delicate wires and a podium to keep my skeletons in place. It gives the feeling of a strong structure.
Here I like the contrast of an animal and their skeleton standing side by side, I may try to add this high contrast into my project for a more comical effect.
In these glass displays you can see stuffed birds, some fit my project more than others, such as the ostrich doesn't seem to fit but many others do, and I thought the sight of them would give me more inspiration to create different types of birds skeletons and such.
